Monument Parkweg Ede

At the start of Operation Market Garden on September 17, 1944 allied airmen dropped bombs on the southern part of the city of Ede. Many inhabitants lost their lives. Some families lost several members.

Every year this bombardment prior to the Battle of Arnhem is commemorated at this monument at the Parkweg in Ede. This commemoration is a cooperation between the Platform Military History Ede and the muncipality of Ede.
