Taxi Charity Message

Our beloved Airborne veterans in the United Kingdom regret not being able to attend tthe 2021′ commemorations in the Airborne Region to commemorate their fallen comrades.
With thanks to the help of our partner the Taxo Charity for Military Veterans, a few veterans made a special message to the Dutch people.

“The WWII veterans that we support were so disappointed not to be able to join their many Dutch friends in The Netherlands for the Arnhem commemorations this year, so when we were asked if we could provide a video for the Airborne Commemorations Foundation, we were delighted to help. Two of our volunteer London taxi drivers drove 950 miles over four days to record messages from the Operation Market Garden veterans and they all expressed their great sadness at not being in The Netherlands on 1 September and their hope that they would be able to travel next year. Everyone at the Taxi Charity joins them in hoping to be with you next year."

And “until we meet again, we wish you all well!”
